Obama, Kanye, and the Media: Portraits of Cultural Marxists

Hat tip: Steve Deace

A wise man once said something about knowing a tree by its fruit, and there are three bitter fruits always harvested by a culture that has allowed Marxism to take root:

  • Leaders manipulate the public with outright lies and propaganda far exceeding the normal embellishments typical of politicians.
  • Intimidation and bullying of your opposition becomes the norm and self-righteously justified.
  • Demagoguery replaces common human decency and situational decorum.

In total, this is known as the “thugocracy,” which is always what Marxism becomes. Here are three recent examples, both blatant and subtle, that indicate ours is a culture that doesn’t have a long shelf life unless we return to our Western ideals. Continue reading

Hegelian Dialectics for Dummies

Hat tip: Brent Parrish

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (Credits: Wikipedia)

Why should you care about the Hegelian Dialectic? How does it affect me? The dialectical philosophy devised by Georg Hegel underpins the entire political and social strategy of the radical left. The dialectical approach to “consensus-building” (compromise) and “conflict resolution” (dialog) is the process with which the radical left attempts to control and manipulate outcomes.

There are several reasons why I felt compelled to write an article on the subject matter of Hegelian dialectics. First, I thought I would take a shot at introducing the subject matter to those who are unfamiliar with it, and why it is relevant to politics today. Secondly, I thought it “prudent at this juncture” to clearly lay out important distinctions between Hegel’s philosophy and that of Marx’s theory of dialectical materialism.

I have been reading and hearing the term “Hegelian Dialectic” bantered around more and more. As a matter of fact, my last article submitted to the The Watcher’s Council, I, once again, brought up the Hegelian dialectic in relationship to our two-party system–the infamous left-right paradigm, as I am wont to call it. But I digress.

Hegelian dialectical theory is simply a philosophy, a way of thinking–a thought process. But when taken to its extreme, and applied by unscrupulous characters, it is a very dangerous and lethal strategy. For it is not a new strategy or idea, but an ancient one. And it takes many forms. Indeed, it can be difficult to expose the strategy, even by those deeply familiar with it, because the agenda is hidden, and the predetermined ends are kept secret by those employing the strategy.

But before we get started exploring Hegelian dialecticalism (author’s own term), let me state clearly: there are entire books written on the subject matter of dialectical philosophy, and on the life of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, the father of the so-called Hegelian Dialectic. I do not consider myself an authority on Hegel. Nor do I consider myself an expert on dialectical philosophy–in all its varied forms. I have simply researched the subject matter in some depth.

Alfred E. Smith: Betrayal of the Democratic Party

By: Brent P.

The following is the transcript of a speech given by Democratic Governor of New York Alfred E. Smith in Washington, D.C., in 1936. This speech is Appendix A (I’ve also included Appendix B from the same book) from Cleon Skousen’s book The Naked Capitalist (1970), which is a review and commentary of Dr. Carroll Quigly’s 1,300 page book Tragedy and Hope. Interestingly, Carroll Quigly was one of former President Bill Clinton’s mentors.

There are few things worth noting about Alfred E. Smith’s speech. The reference to the NRA in Smith’s speech is not a reference to the National Rifle Association, but rather the National Recovery Administration established by FDR. Additionally, the term Brain Trusters refers to the group of advisers to Franklin Delano Roosevelt during his presidential administration.

To me, it just shows that the more things change, the more they stay the same. The influence of socialism, communism, and other nefarious forces, is nothing new in the history of the United States.

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

By: James Simpson

Five years ago, Jim Simpson informed America of the grand conspiratorial sabotage presenting Barack Obama for the United States Presidency.

That is, he presented much more than we already knew, to those who were already awake, aware, alarmed, and looking for more. And we have all continued to tell those who have not been willfully, unrepentantly, and fatally ignorant. This article also introduced to many the very old, Marxist and fascist (some would say Illuminist and Jacobin) strategy of collapsing a nation’s economy through government obligations and debt, recently reprised as the “Cloward-Piven strategy.”

Whether reviewing or reading for the first time, we have an opportunity to checkpoint. How have we been doing in our learning and in our informing America, despite the controlled media complex, over the last five years?

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis, and if left to their own devices will do so again.

Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama’s connections to his radical mentors — Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others. David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks.org have also contributed a wealth of information and have noted Obama’s radical connections since the beginning.

Yet, no one to my knowledge has yet connected all the dots between Barack Obama and the Radical Left. When seen together, the influences on Obama’s life comprise a who’s who of the radical leftist movement, and it becomes painfully apparent that not only is Obama a willing participant in that movement, he has spent most of his adult life deeply immersed in it.

But even this doesn’t  fully describe the extreme nature of this candidate. He can be tied directly to a malevolent overarching strategy that has motivated many, if not all, of the most destructive radical leftist organizations in the United States since the 1960s.

Destructive Ignorants Through Common Core Curriculum

GatewayPundit previously reported here and here on Common Core promoting pornography in the classroom. Another recent report comes to light from an outraged Louisiana parent of a fourth grader who was helping her 9-year-old son with a Common Core homework reading assignment.

Todd Starnes at Fox News reports the following:

Fourth grade students in Vermilion Parish, La. were given a homework assignment that included words like “Po Pimp” and “mobstaz,” but school officials said the worksheet was age appropriate based on an education website affiliated with Common Core education standards.

“I try to instill values in my son,” parent Brittney Badeaux told Fox News. “My goal is for him to ultimately to become a great man, a family man, a well-rounded man. And now my son wants to know what a pimp is.”

Badeaux was helping her 9-year-old son with his homework when she heard him say the words “Po Pimp” and “mobstaz.”

“I couldn’t believe it at first – hearing him read it to me,” she told Fox News. “So I looked at the paper and read the entire article. It was filled with Ebonics.”

The worksheet, obtained by Fox Radio affiliate KPEL provided contextual examples of the word “twist.” It included references to tornadoes and the 1950’s dance craze – the “Twist.”

But it also included a paragraph about “Twista” – a rapper with the group Speedknot Mobstaz who performs a single titled, “Po-Pimp.”

“It was really inappropriate for my child,” Badeaux said. “He doesn’t know what a pimp or mobster is.”

She also took issue with the school sending home a worksheet that intentionally misspelled words.

“I try to teach him morals and respect and to speak correctly,” she said. “It’s hard for a fourth grader to understand Ebonics when you’re trying to teach him how to spell and write correctly.”

Vermilion Parish School Superintendent Jerome Puyau told Fox News the “po-pimp” assignment was aligned to a fourth grade English Language Arts standard for Common Core.

“Out of context, this word is inappropriate,” Puyau said. “However, within the Common Core standards, they do want us to discuss real world texts.” […]

Rethinking Schools article on the trouble with Common Core reminds us of the following:

States were coerced into adopting the Common Core by requirements attached to the federal Race to the Top grants and, later, the No Child Left Behind waivers. (This is one reason many conservative groups opposed to any federal role in education policy oppose the Common Core.)

If time permits, Karen Bracken gives an excellent presentation on the subversive Common Core threat to education at a

Chattanooga Tea Party meeting held on April 18, 2013:  A must watch for Parents.

How Nixon Created Obama

August 23, 2011
By James Lewis

As Matt Patterson pointed out in these pages,Obama is the Affirmative Action President. He was elected to make up for America’s never-ending guilt about black folks. That obsessional guilt trip works so well that it’s landed us in racial socialism, also called affirmative action.

Marxism whips up resentments of the poor against the rich — but in fact it empowers only the left. Well, racial socialism does the same thing. It whips up “people of color” against evil palefaces in order to empower the left. It’s the Ku Klux Klan in new sheets.
